Trimline was commissioned by Disney Cruise Line to deliver a complete transformation of the Spa Reception area on board the Disney Fantasy, ensuring the space reflected the brand’s premium guest experience while meeting exacting maritime and safety standards.
The project encompassed a full strip-out and rebuild of the spa’s reception, treatment, and adjoining areas. Our team carried out the demolition and removal of existing furniture, ceilings, flooring, bulkheads, and HVAC systems, followed by the construction and installation of new structural elements, fire-rated bulkheads and doors, and advanced insulation systems. Every element was reimagined in close collaboration with the ship’s designers and engineers to create a serene, modern, and operationally efficient wellness environment
The new spa features custom-built fixed furniture, including a bespoke ADA-considerate reception desk, cabinetry, treatment room wash stations, and display units finished in high-quality materials such as gold-effect laminates, solid walnut detailing, and Irish Green marble tops. These were complemented by new decorative finishes, luxury vinyl flooring, wallcoverings, and bespoke soft furnishings, all designed to align with Disney’s aesthetic standards.
Technical upgrades formed a key part of the refit, with new lighting and electrical systems, Paradigm dimming panels, integrated AV and safety systems, and a redesigned HVAC layout to optimise comfort. The installation of preserved moss artwork in the reception added a natural focal feature that enhances the space’s tranquil ambience
Delivered by a skilled 31-person team within a tight 20-day onboard schedule, the project demonstrates Trimline’s expertise in premium marine interior outfitting, combining craftsmanship, technical precision, and seamless coordination with Disney’s operations team to bring a fresh, elegant atmosphere to one of the fleet’s most relaxing guest spaces.
