January 2019 opened with 124 ships on the forward-looking cruise ship orderbook, extending through 2027. The cruise industry is projected to continue to grow throughout 2019 with an estimated 30 million travellers expected to cruise, up 6% from 28.2 million in 2018.
Marine interior outfitters Trimline are in high demand as they secure contracts for this year and beyond. This quarter alone they are dispatching their skilled teams to complete cruise ship refits including RCCLs Navigator of the Seas, Celebrity Millennium, Coral Princess, TUI Mein Schiff 2, Celebrity Summit and Marella Explorer 2, as well as ferry refits for DFDS Seaways and Condor Ferries.
Cruise Key Account Manager Simon Dawkins said “With over 50 years in the industry, Trimline staff understand the importance of planning for success, reliability and quality output. Over the years, we’ve worked on a diverse array of complex and demanding projects for most of the World’s cruise lines and ferry companies, earning Trimline the trust of many of the ships refit personnel.”
