NIEUW AMSTERDAM - Replacement Handrails

Trimline carried out the replacement of handrails, which involved staining and polishing them over three central staircases across 11 decks, while working with two different types of timber during an extremely busy drydock. Working closely with the Holland America team and all the contractors on board, Trimline carefully scheduled the closure of stairwells between decks at set times to minimize interference with other contractors.

Although not without significant challenges, including dealing with warped glasswork, the work was completed on time and to our usual high standards during what was HAL's biggest-ever drydock, completed in the shortest length of time.
