During this 3-ship project, the Trimline team implemented COVID-safe catering areas onboard P&O Ferries' Spirit of Britain, Spirit of France, and Pride of Kent vessels. During each refit, our experienced joiners, catering specialists, floor layers, and laborers replaced all hot and cold serveries in the Club Lounge and Food Market with convenient self-service and 'Grab & Go' areas.
While working on the first ship, the team identified a specification change that required implementation. Thanks to their teamwork and a robust supplier relationship, Trimline successfully introduced the new solution in time for the refits on the second and third ships. These refits were not only completed ahead of schedule and within budget but also with no snags.
The scope of work included a comprehensive overhaul of the Food Market, involving the complete removal of catering serveries, fixed furniture, POS systems, and flooring. This was accompanied by upgrades to enhance functionality and meet passenger demands, including new flooring, electrics, lighting, decoration throughout, deck heads, queuing systems, POS stations, and catering items such as hot and cold serveries, display units, beverage stations, and clearing stations.
In the Club Lounge, a full upgrade and rebranding were executed to align with a premium offering. This involved the removal of existing self-serve catering units, flooring, and furniture, followed by the installation of new self-serve catering units, flooring, furniture, and decoration.
