Trimline undertook an extensive refurbishment of the Crew Dayroom on the Norwegian Getaway to enhance the space's functionality and comfort for the crew members. The project involved several key phases, starting with the protection of existing elements such as the pool table and other related items. The demolition phase included the removal of partitions, flooring, skirting, bookshelves, and various loose furniture items, as well as the disconnection and removal of media equipment. Trimline installed new finishes on all bulkheads, applied self-leveling screed and top coat to the floor, and laid down new vinyl flooring and underlay. Additionally, new skirting was installed to match the updated aesthetic.
We also undertook remedial work on hundreds of crew cabins, mainly doors and wet-rooms, improving them both functionally and aesthetically for the crew. Extending their life with sustainability in mind, by repairing rather than replacing wherever possible. Although not glamorous, or work ever seen by the public, we understand well that upkeep of non-public areas on board is vital to the longevity of ships.
