Trimline has undertaken a comprehensive outfitting project for the American Diner aboard the Aroya cruise ship, under contract to MJM Marine. This multi-phase refurbishment involved detailed design and installation of custom furniture, finishes, and technical systems to create a high-end dining environment. The American Diner is highly stylised, with a space theme, including a number of feature chrome Apollo dining pods. The project included a wide range of services, from demolition and structural work to the installation of luxurious furnishings and cutting-edge lighting. Trimline managed the removal of old structures, including ceilings, flooring, and bulkheads, making way for new installations that align with the designer’s vision.

A significant portion of the work involved the creation of bespoke furniture pieces. This included three custom small dining pods, the large Apollo pods with integrated lighting, waiter stations, and dining tables, all tailored to fit the aesthetic and functionality requirements of the space. Notable installations included the design and fitting of a Corten steel entrance portal, intricate banquettes, decorative metal structures, and a custom lightbox, all crafted to create an inviting and visually striking atmosphere. Trimline's team ensured the installation of each item was precise, providing detailed attention to cleaning and snagging to guarantee the highest quality finish.

In addition to the furniture, Trimline was responsible for the installation of advanced electrical and lighting systems, including custom pendant lights, LEDs, and control systems to create an immersive dining experience. Ceiling work was equally impressive, with seamless and Starscape panels installed to enhance the space's acoustics and lighting design. The attention to detail extended to HVAC adjustments and the careful handling of all materials, ensuring minimal disruption and a smooth integration of the new systems into the existing ship infrastructure.

Overall, Trimline's role as a marine outfitter was integral to transforming the American Diner on the Aroya into a sophisticated and functional Space-themed dining venue, meeting both aesthetic and operational needs.
