Trimline's refurbishment of the Reception, Shore Excursions, and Self Booking Counters on the ship Aroya encompassed a wide range of work aimed at modernizing and improving functionality across several key areas, under contract to MJM Marine.
For the Reception area, the project involved complete demolition, including the removal of existing bulkheads, flooring, furniture, and equipment. New elements were then installed, such as a striking set of fixed furniture for the kiosks and VIP areas, which were carefully designed and installed to enhance both the aesthetic and operational efficiency. This was complemented by updated electrical systems, including the installation of LED lighting and the reconfiguration of electrical outlets to suit the new layout upgrades were a significant component of the refurbishment, with new materials being installed to improve both durability and design.
A mix of carpet and tile solutions were carefully selected to suit the high-traffic areas. In addition to flooring, the walls and ceilings were treated with new finishes, including AR-12 vinyl and AR-05 laminate, which provided a modern and clean look. The work extended to the installation of decorative features such as bespoke column casings and new bulkhead finishes to further enhance the space's appeal. The Shore Excursions and Self Booking Counters were similarly transformed, with substantial work dedicated to the removal and replacement of old furniture, flooring, and fixtures. This included the design and installation of new self-booking counters and walkways, crafted from high-quality materials for durability and ease of use. The lighting systems were upgraded throughout, with custom installations designed to provide both functionality and a refined atmosphere. The refurbishment also extended to the integration of new audio-visual systems, ensuring the space is equipped with modern technology to support guest interactions
Overall, the refurbishment aimed to create a more welcoming, efficient, and visually appealing environment for guests and crew alike. The work was carefully planned and executed to ensure minimal disruption while providing a modernised space that enhances both the functionality and guest experience aboard the Aroya.
